Hey RuudNL, I love all music, especially Hardrock. This mic actually sounds ok, but the self noise is too high after mastering. Even noticeable in Hardrock, so, it can’t be used for quieter more intimate sources and styles. It is a real bummer.
Do you have a copy of the schematic for the C-3? I could compare it to this mic and if it is the same, I could use that as a basis to choose better components for critical sections in the circuit. This one is Transformer coupled.
