I'm looking for at least 4 (but up to 20 or 30) 10K log pots with a round 4mm shaft. I can't seem to find them from any of the US suppliers or ebay, or on the white market listings here, or anywhere at all for that matter.

Actually I'd like to stock up on 50K and 100K log pots too, and maybe some duals.

These type pots were used on Trident and other consoles and seemed to be fairly available, until recently.

Help?

David,

Will these keep you going?

I had removed them from surplus but unused Neve boards. I have the nuts/washers and should also have the thin/tall black collette knobs if you need them.

I also have a good number of single 10k and 50k Bournes removed from low milage pro console but I'll need to check the tapers.

Sahib, those look great and I'd like to buy them all. Will PM you.

Guys, thanks for the other replies but I checked all the links and unless I missed something, none of those are 10k log 4mm.  AML has some 4mm shaft pots but no 10k log, and all the Newark and Mouser links were 1/8" shaft types. But thanks anyway!

You should check mouser or digikey for
Bourns 51UAD-T16-D15L (8euro/pcs), in stock.
In Europe you can find all pots you need here

or you can contact one of the manufacturers

sure. piher does them. they are great quality, made in germany, rather cheap and compared to these terrible burns stuff they have a pro feel to them. actually they have the best feel i ever found in any pot. http://www.voelkner.de/products/146039/Potentiometer-T16-Mono-10k-Log.html sorry for the german page. but its  the cheapest source i found.  hit me a pm if you need a translator. you helped me out a lot in the past! how many do you need? the surplus around the corner has a few dozens for around 2 quid a piece. same part but nos.

I believe taw electronics has 4mm 10k omegs. Dual ganged too. In 1k and 100k as well. I think. The great and amazing Laura will probably hook you up if you get 20-30.  Based out of California, affordable, and super fast too.  Oh and really nice folks.

Wanted to follow up on this topic. I wound up placing a fairly large order with Banzai for a lot of Piher pots in various values. Initially I was fairly satisfied with the look and feel but they turned into a bit of a headache for me. I tried several pairs of log taper pots in some dual channel gear and discovered afterward that matching was very poor between pairs of pots. Unfortunately I learned this well after installing them in a unit that required a lot of disassembly and reassembly.

Bottom line, the tapers were very uneven, outside terminal resistances were very uneven, and used as audio level controls, the wiper levels were very different with the wipers at the same positions. I had ordered quite a lot of them and, with a lot of trial and error was able to pick out a few acceptable pairs. I guess that strictly speaking, they were all within 20%, but many were off "in different directions" within that 20%, meaning that in many cases there were 40% differences. So technically I guess they were within spec, but the general matching was much worse than what I'm used to seeing.

TAW is just down the street from me so I'll give them a try. I've bought a lot of parts from them, but had no idea they sold pots, so I'm glad to learn they might be a source. And thanks to others who replied with other ideas -- you gave me a lot of sources to check out.

Most likely Piher's linear pots are more consistent, and for one-off jobs their log pots might be ok. But I would not order their log types again, and would advise others to be wary of using them.
