For anyone interested in buying a used E906. The fake one doesn't look too bad, but it sounds terrible. No need to comment on the sound in detail.

In short: disgusting... A real one doesn't sound soooo far from an SM57, full and rich, no harsh mids... The Chinese one is completely unbalanced. Sharp mids. Even a non-musician can tell immediately.

These Chinese guys do a great job of optical cloning though. So watch out...

I bought at the same time at Thomann and on Ali an Sennheiser E906. Here some Fotos, left is original and right the China one:

Shortly said:
-The fake one less weight
-has a higher DCR between pin 2 and 3
-has no black cover plate over the filter switch to hide the metall frame of this switch
- the prints are weaker
-The locking ring for attaching the microphone plug inside of the mic body is bare metal and not black coated
-and the sound is ugly.....
Don't get ripped off on E-by...... Regards H
