Morning all, so I'm not familiar with this really as I'm only often making up standard cables and those are usually 8x2 headers etc. Got this ribbon cable that is 32 way. Its got a female single row 16 pin IDC at each end AND in the middle. Im not sure if each pair of the cable is joined at the IDC or every other strand is joined at the IDC but where on earth does one buy these connectors ? I can cobble many solutions for each end, no worries, but I cannot easily sort out the middle breakout IDC unless I can source the same as in the picture. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I am not aware of simple low cost solutions for onsey twosey... Some of these cables require tooling and special crimping machinery.

Is this cable from a commercial SKU or DIY? If commercial ask the manufacturer.

use a standard 32-way idc connector - one of the rows will be right
Thanks for that suggestion, Ive only just seen it. Still laughing at myself for not spotting this as a simple solution. Wood for the trees and all that !
