They can't say original because that was years ago , they don't say reissue
or anything about licensing ,  just full steam [ roller ] ahead try to retain  / gain THAT identity
could say closest reproduction ? doesn't elaborate on Eugene's involvement or any compensation
[ neither did Eveanna ]  If money were no object I would buy one , but where I am today , no likely I ever will
but there maybe a few real studio's left  and a couple of dreamer's and collector's

You'd think that they would have put a cap on the power switch before the photo shoot...

haha yall see what vintage king posted today?  talking about their vintage units and how they were all hand made. some hostility maybe? haha just kidding. but i love how the vintage units cost the same as the new ones. i would definitely go for an original first

Go to the USPTO website:

http://www.uspto.gov/

... and do a trademark search for    Pultec      here:

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=searchss&state=4009:q5mxyh.1.1

Five hits, with the last one (71661663) being the oldest.

Registration Date June 28, 1955
Owner (REGISTRANT) PULSE TECHNIQUES, INC. CORPORATION NEW JERSEY 1411 PALISADE AVE.
WEST ENGLEWOOD NEW JERSEY

Interesting to see that Universal Audio applied, then abandoned, registration in 2002.  Same with Peluso Microphones in 2007 and an outfit called Bongiovi Acoustics in 2008.

That would be the outfit owned by Tony Bongiovi, designer of the Power Station and cousin of Jon. Interesting stuff. Wonder why the tires were kicked so many times, apparently without result until now.

Interesting, also if I search for "Pulse Techniques", I get one registration for "Pulse Techniques EQP-1A3 Program Equalizer" made by one individual in 2008

I would swear I've seen the label on some original Pultec which said something such as " Made by Pulse Technologies"..........
Good detective work, Brian.

I wonder what's with the mixture of phillips and flat head chassis screws? Perhaps to deter the curious but lazy tech from having a look inside and discovering their secrets?

Yeah... just looking for something to pick on really. I'm sure it sounds nice with either type of screw. But something is telling me they might have been in a rush to get their prototype to the photo shoot.
