My son likes LED's, I gave him a modded V63M to play around with, and he wants to add an LED so it lights up when he powers it. I painted it black so now you can't really tell where the front is so I'm thinking drill a hole, and throw an LED in there. Should be a cool project that we can do together for his first "mod", but I have not a clue where to put it in the circuit. Digging around I learned that we might need a resistor too? What value? Clueless... Where to put them? Clueless...

Please explain like I'm 12 as I am stumped on how to proceed, and thanks in advance for the help!!
