SoundCraft SM 760 Tape Machine Repair

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Soundcraft SM 760 tape machine and could use help getting it functioning. I believe I have the third version (the blue face), it's labeled 1985. I have a manual that is labeled 1981, but there are some differences between the manual and the actual machine. For example, the wire color coding is not the same, and the connection points are also different. In some cases there entire PCB sockets that are missing. I don't think the machine has ever been modified, so I believe I don't have the right manual for this machine. Thanks for your help!

I hope you did not spend much money! To be honest, these were never great machines. Also, what are the heads like? If the heads are worn, you are wasting your time and money.
