SSL 4000G+ Master Bus Inserts

Hey all!

I can’t seem to find anything on the patchbay or the signal flowchart for master inserts. I spoke to a colleague that used to own one and he mentioned that it was a common mod. Is this for real? I find that odd…a mod for something so simple that should be a part of every console?

Any help much appreciated!

Ahhhhh…got it!!

There is a Pre-VCA send/return and Post-VCA send/return normally in the patchbay for the 4000 G+. It is usually in the bay right next to the patches labeled "MAIN OUTPUTS." The patches are also the way to patch around the quad compressor. Unless you're looking for a different insert?
