there is a schematic to Behringer MDX2100. given that it is a VCA comp with some bells and whistles. would it be fair to assume that it could possible act and behave somewhat like an SSL if the sidechain attack and release was rewired like that in the SSL?..all it would take is cuting out a few components and twisting a few others around..
I realise there are other things that affect sound too, but isn't the sidechain a large part of how any particular compressor sounds
