Hello, My SSL Super-Analogue channel as a defected IC. In the IC i can read H2525-5-N922CAX and SSL said this is SHDBHFF1 IC LIN AMP HIGH SPEED HA 9P2525.

After a couple weeks looking for it without success and followed a friend's advice to post this question here...
Does anyone know where can i get this?
If this is so hard to find what are people using in the 9k Clone as a substitute?
Im sending this unit to SSL for repairings but then i was wondering what ic do you guys use if its not this one...
Thank you!
Cheers!

thing about SSL is that they use cheaper parts in creative and good ways.

Who else can make a console full of .10$ opamps sound so neutral?

Their odd choice in parts makes me believe that they pick certain parts for specific reasons..

Anyway,

Where are you located?

Go to WWW.intersil.com and search for the part #.

Do a distributor stock check.

Newark in the USA and Farnell in the UK have them in stock.

You can also ask for samples..

Hello again,
Thanks for your fast replies!
Im located in Europe.

Ill take a look on that link and see whats going on there...
Thanks!

Is intersil who bought Harris? I don't recall..

http://www.westfloridacomponents.com/T356PD/HA-2-2525-5++2Mhz+Harris+Op+Amp.html

I don't think it was ever a cheap opamp.. Harris IIRC had a special high speed IC process..

Though at those prices I suspect a more cost effective solution is available, I don't really believe 120V/uSec ever was useful for audio.

Thanks for the replies.

Ic-Phoenix quote at 5pcs $8. they didnt told if is each or the pack of 5.
and Digchip quote as 2pcs at 10$ unit price. So i believe IC-Phoenix is $8 each, pack of 5pcs.

Im just wondering what the other numbers on the ic means...
I cant find the exactly same ic with the same lettering anywhere.

So im assuming that HA9p2525-5 is the same or just an equivalent.
How can i confirm this?

Cheers!
Pedro

EDIT_ I just looked at your picture and that is the 8 pin SOIC package,  so you want the HA9P......  /edit

why would you use a gray-market company to buy the parts when you can buy either from Intersil themselves or a company like Farnell?

Those gray-market companies are quoting you SINGLE chips.  They always have outrageous prices for ICs because their forte is to buy hard-to-get chips and sit on them until they go out of production.  That way, anyone who is caught needing discontinued ICs will have to pay the gray-market "ransom" price which is MUCH more than the IC is worth..

Intersil bought Harris.  Some of their parts still have the Harris part numbering scheme.

Resurrecting a dead thread hoping someone has information on a equivalent that will work for this chip. My friend turned on phantom power to the output and scorched this thing! Please help

what is a functioning equivalent for the SHDBHFF1 IC LIN AMP HIGH SPEED HA 9P2525?
