Hi all,

Will this variant of the SSL 9k power supply work? Are there any problems with this?

I think you'll need more than 24V in to get 48V out... at least 36 or 40V RMS...

If you're doing it that way, because the OV will be referenced together, there really isn't much call for 2 bridge rectifiers anyhow...

This probably isn't the best appltication, someting more akin to a true voltage doubler would work... essentially another diode/cap stage in the 48 multiplier/shifter.

although the 48V-section could use a ground-connection

...but wait, the schematic at the beginning of this thread has this one missing as well - am I missing something ?
Hmm no, that 48V-section needs a ground-reference as well, right ?
