Studio Monitors Passive Connection - what cable ?

Checked a bit here around but really not much about
what cable can be a right/good cable  (standard electric cable apart)
for connect the passive studio monitors  to the amplifier ,
thanks in advance for any post and help

The electrons do not care about the type of metal conductor only the resistance.

Since the resistance of the wire is in series with the output impedance of the amplifier you want to keep this resistance relatively low wrt speaker impedance.  A 4 ohm speaker will need a lower impedance wire than 8 ohm speaker.

A damping factor of 10x (0.4-0.8 Ohm) is probably low or too high resistance, a damping factor of 100x (0.04-0.08 Ohm) is probably over kill.

Only you know how long your wires are (remember out and back for resistance calculations).

Use you run lengths with resistance per foot charts for different gauge wire.

Then look at what wire choices you have... gauge vs cost, and make a reasoned choice.

DO NOT BUY FUNNY WIRE> (please).
