Trying to get my head around correct phase for subwoofers and monitors.

When setting up your subwoofer, and applying the correct phase using the phase reverse switch. Is correct phase applies only at the listening position or does it apply anywhere in the room?

Once correct phase is applied, is it permanent for any audio played on your system, or does it change depending on the frequencies the audio is playing, the objects you have in your room at the position you are listening to, etc?

Thank you.

Correct only for one selected listening position. You may have to move the subwoofer in order to get a decent adequate listening area.

You don't need to change settings according to what program you're listening to.
If you find that the setting is correct for some sources and incorrect for others, youy need to find proper sub position.
