T.Bone RB500 and MXL R144 Ribbons / Are they the same microphone?

A freind of mine recommended the TBone RB500 to me for easing into trying some ribbon mic's., maybe modding them.

He liked that one the best.

Thomann sells them for $89.00, but the shipping is a whopping like $45.00.

I know allot of these mics supposedly are the same mics rebranded.

Does anyone know if the TBone is rebranded in the US under another name?

He's had luck with the TBone so I don't want to chance a different mic, but Thomann is the only one that sells them under that name.

Thomann offers Free Shipping for orders over 199€.

Also for people inside EU, if you order from a colective VAT number (company/bussiness) you don't pay any VAT. Which makes it even cheaper

It's similar or the same as many other Chinese Ribbon mics:
Alctron HRM-1, Alctron HRM-2, Nady RSM-2, Apex 210, SM Pro Audio MC04, Shinybox 23 and probably many more.
