studer 963(961 962) channel strip project

I assembled a channel strip using the Studer 963 module, consisting of one microphone preamp and one master unit. The master unit can utilize a limiter and compressor. I placed the input and output terminals on the front panel.studerstrip-07.jpg

I love those plastic extensions on the pushbutton switches.

Cheers

Thank you. The preamp and master combo gets the most out of the 963 console for one channel strip, with the I/O placed on the front for easy access.

It’s an amazing unit. Good luck!
Thank you! Looking forward to the project.

I read on a thread somewhere ( knowing I shouldn't believe everything I read) that the channel strip on it's own isn't strong enough to drive a line input because a channel strip doesn't have an output transformer, but looking at the schematic I see that it's not the case... Can anyone share some thoughts on this? If I'm right the channel strip should be fine if I supply it with power and audio Ins and outs. I'll add the schematic.

There is NO output trafo on the 96x series input modules, however the 963 (with extra pcb for routing and tape interfacing) offer an additional balanced line out (TAPE OUT)
