That's the nice thing about this thread, you can see what's really inside. So BAIFEILI did a 414... with a mono diaphragm capsule... which is not in CK12 style but U87... ?
Gosh...
Ok, the $20 ali K47 didn't sound particularly good. It has a quite pronounced middle peak and lacks low end as well as air.
This. There was a even bigger discount when I bought it. Probably for a good reason. It's also super sensitive to plosives.Which one did you get?
I don't know . . . that could still be an Okatave capsule, just with a decorative ring covering the screw heads. It looks to be an aluminized diaphragm, like the Okatavas have.
No problem, ribbons are very welcome!Well, if the OP is allowing ribbons in the clubhouse . . .
Yes I got a pair of these too... Still working... Built as a tank (and as heavy too)Here are some pictures of the 1st generation of T-Bone SC1100 :
This is 20 years old and has some dust on the capsule, working great though.

- Oktava ML-51; an unusual mic for it's time (mid '70s), in that it had an active battery-powered 'boost circuit' in it. Motor shows some influence of RCA ribbons.

I gutted both mine and put in Edcor transformers. They sound fine, but I've never had any mic pres with enough quiet gain to use them for anything but close mic'ing, which I rarely do. Used them only once on a loud percussion soloist.I’ve had one of those for many years, in really excellent-shape, on the outside at least, but I’ve still never used it. Still have to put an XLR on it. I’ve seen people say pull out everything, including the battery, others say use it as stock. I don’t know.
Yes, but the hole pattern is different and i guess some things have changed after 2004, when manufacturing was no longer made in Latvia. BTW - they are now part of Logitech…I don't know . . . that could still be an Okatave capsule, just with a decorative ring covering the screw heads.
