Hello, I'm new 'round here.

....I know it's not a proper tube pre, or a particularly good 'un, but I have a quick question concerning the bias screw adjusters on the board of the 5001 - what do they bias? One for each tube.....

My guess is that it trims for equal gain when using somewhat sloppy tubes..

That sounds pretty likely....but I'm a bit reluctant to twist the screw and find out! ;-)

Anyone else got a different guess or better?
