Can anyone in England go check this out.. At a price like this either the console is in real sad shape or it's fraud.

They look like they are an ex broadcast reseller, feedback and other items for sale suggest that it is genuine.  There is no reserve but they've left the auction awfully short, there is a chance that it won't get bid up too high.  If I were back in Ireland I'd chase this.

I would expect such a desk to go through a broker rather than showing up on ebay....

True... I think though the listing is via a broker on their ebay account but I don't know for sure. I've seen many a nice desk going through ebay vs a broker. The idea being the seller does not have to pay a commission? I suspect that since they couldn't get the asking price they originally wanted, they are doing a short sale in the hops it drives the price through the roof. It's a gamble that may backfire. I would bid on it for sure but I don't have any room for it.
