If we got the full schemo then we can make some boards made :green:

Late to the party, but... I've taken the liberty of creating an ftp site for this project and have uploaded all relelvent files we have so far. There is a 100MB limit which can be raised if need be. Bandwidth is unmetered.

Here is the site:

http://eisenaudio.com/cb9066

upload new files by logging in:

server: ftp.eisenaudio.com
username: [email protected]
password: groupdiy

On PC you should have no problem logging in through your web browser. Just enter this link ftp://[email protected]@ftp.eisenaudio.com/ and once there you can click & drag to add new files.

On Mac I've had no luck logging in through web browsers and have to use a dedicated FTP program. Cyberduck is free and runs on OS X.

If anyone wants to create a proper web page to put up there, be my guest. I hope this will help the project, but if it's just an inconvinience let me know.

might sound cool notice how much the Fuzz face circuit looks like the gain stage?????

B range with the eq out sounds awesomely awesome full of awesomeness. Kinda sucky headroom but I'll make that compromise for awesomely awesome full of awesomeness.

Based on that, if this EQ doesnt sound like total garbage and nasally and phasey, it would probably be worth building.

have I suggested that this might be a good project?

somebodys gotta have a schematic.

I have clean up the old scan of the Trident CB9066 schematic, and I also take a look on the big orginal (one square metre sheet) but for the moment it is impossible to get something out of this dark orginal.

I just added a frontpage to help organize informations.
If you?re not afraid by a few HTML tags, you can edit this index.php file to collaborate to this project birth. Or, I can help you to insert the files you could send to me.

sorry, I didn?t finished the layout? I?m sick now. I?ll be back soon on this page ? I hope.

not finished? It looks great. And I don't think it even matters right now since no one seems to have anything new to contribute. Not until we get a full schematic....

Feel better soon!

Hey folks,

I have access to one of those. My pal has one CB9066 and he doesn't use it much. I could get it here and let me know if you'd like to know anything about it. Ain't no guru, but I can post high-res images and stuff... Cheers

Hi people
My first post here  although I have been reading this forum for a long time. I have one of those trident eqs if anybody is still interested in making a clone.

Yes, nice DIY project.

It sounds very good, but the filter sweeb knob have a bit differently behavior compare with the more new parametric equalizer we are use with to day.
It is not so easy to get a perfect adjustment curve with a single sweep potentiometer in this "twin T-net" filter circuit.
It is also a bit troublesome to adjust and tune all presets, to get the eq sections to work satisfactory.

Some people thought this equalizer topology is similar to the eq-section in Triad A or B-Range, Series-80 or TSM, but they have nothing in common.
But the discrete amp topology is same as Triad A/B Range consoles.
Trident have only use this "twin T-net" filter topology in this CB-9066 19" rack equalizer unit.
