Hi,

I saw these units also have LPF & HPF with variable slope.  Would be interesting to see how that's done. Perhaps some kind of blend between a 6dB/oct & 12dB/oct ?

Since Bo's schematic is hard to scan (apart from the parts he already did, thanks again), does anyone else happen to have a schematic/parts/circuit-tracings ?

If this indeed makes it into a project one day, let's not forget those gorgeous metal knobs  ;)
While convenient, I usually dislike colour-coded knobs. But for this unit imho it's actually adding to its appearance, tres nice  :p

Cheers,

  Peter

Please allow me a bump.

The links to previously uploaded additional files/scans are no longer working, so if anyone still has this ?

Thanks !

I have a pair of Trident CB9066 mastering EQ's that I'm working on and while I have the covers off am taking pictures. Can someone host them?

I think this EQ could be cool one to clone; It dates to 1976.

I have the manual and Parts list too!!!
I also think so.

As in: cool to clone? Or do you have those files ?

Ancient thread, but figured I'd pick it up here.

I have a CB9066 on the bench with problems (apparently in the HF EQ section). The two schemos in the tech documents here are far from complete and don't cover much of the circuit. Web search didn't come up with anything else.

Any help appreciated! I don't want to spend hours reverse engineering it.

Hi Bri and all,

I worked with Trident back in the early 80s and am now back for the last few years designing all the new consoles and gear.
As such I have come across a few CB9066's owned by Trident and that I had to repair, in order to do this I had to reverse engineer the unit to evaluate the circuitry, fix the units we had and then get our team to create the sort after Plugins.
By the way, most of the issues I had with the repairs were broken traces on the potentiometers and switches.

The CB9066 is an active Trident product, it is currently in the digital realm, you are all welcome to try it out and compare it to your units under the free trial at tridentaudiodevelopments.com along with other well known Trident units. We at Trident have discussed whether or not re-introduce the hardware units for this and other products. You can contact [email protected] owner of PMI Audio Group which owns Trident Audio Developments for any questions regarding bringing back old designs and anything else. If the demand is there then we would look at it.

Bri - if you PM me I can give you details that can hopefully help you fix your unit.
