Hey there,
Id like to trigger a bistable relay with a non latching switch. Is this possible?
It seems that id have to reverse voltage on a single coil one or trigger two different inputs on a dual coil one. Dont know how id do either with a single switch and voltage supply. Is there a circuit that allows me to do this?

Cheers

Nevermind. Found this schematic on the web. It works just fine. I did add a protection diode to each coil.

Actually now i do have a question. This circuit will be built into an existing mixing console for triggering some lights. We are talking a tiny 24v 80mA bulb and a standard led. There is an existing 24v line in the desk that is used for relays and lights only. So i plan on simply using that as a supply.
Now, the desk is very valuable… should i build a fuse in front of my light circuit, in order to protect the desk, or would that be overkill.
If a fuse is advised, what value would work here?
