This is more of a request, I've been looking around for some simple preamp designs, something I can make up on a breadboard in a few minutes, basic as basic can be, only a handful of components. Resistors, caps and a transistor or 2. XLR connection or TRS, even TS compatible. Option for adding in a volume control, then a tone control etc.
The main reason behind it is to understand the mathematics involved which can then be expanded upon, I guess it's not so much a preamp, but more a booster to start off with, sound quality isn't the principle here, I think it would be good for a lot of novices to the physics side of things...
A simple schematic is all that is needed, everyone I find with google has some sort of mod or added circuits to it. A good start schematic is much appreciated. Values aren't even that important right now, I need to order more components soon anyway!
