Vin Jet II Joly Edition

Curious if anyone knows the Vin Jet II Joly Edition. I can't find much in terms of the mods done (even on Wayback machine). Things seem to weigh about 5 lbs.

If you have one, I'm happy to take a look at it and tell you what was done.

Thanks for the offer but the mic is not mine. Best I could do is take some pictures of its innards. Don't know if this would help or not.

Not much info, IMO. Who knew that the "MOD" involved stuffing a cloth around the trafo.

The only other thing I'd be interested in is a look at the ribbon. You'd have to take off one of the resonator plates.

From what you've posted, that's about all that appears to have been done. Premium transformer cloth wrap =)

That's certainly the stock factory transformer. Did they remove a layer of screen from the grill (single layer instead of double?)

Crude for sure, but it should dampen the resonances and ringing of the body. At least something to learn from. Stock transformer. The biggest difference would be if the ribbon is modified, hard to know.
