Hey Yall.

I'm building a little battery powered mono headphone amp based on the circuit design below and trying to get some sort of volume control.

As of right now I've found that a 10k pot in series with r8 to worrk fairly well except for some of the pot's rotation theres some loud static and distortion.

Any help appreciated Thanks!!

Hard to say much without the values, but it looks as though R8 should run straight to ground, and put an output cap from top of R8 to cans.

Performance is going to depend much on R8 value and headphone impedance.

As Brian says, put the volume pot at the input, before C1.
