Let me stress that this VCA is NOT USABALE for any of the DIY SSL compressors, so nobody should think about buying this to use for any projects... the 1537 is a completely different VCA and is only really useable for maintaining old SSL and very early aphex gear.

Please don't ask if this can be turned into a DIY project... it basically cannot. It's only use is to keep alive older SSL.

I have quanitiy of nos 1537A Aphex VCA s 14 pin dip
regular version 5.00 each
ceramic 7.00 each

may consider trades , they were also used in compressors , & automation
some preamps as well .

for those more clever and inclined to make the boards than i ! [ 7 pages ]

Quite right it is it's own animal , not retro fitable with dbx style chips ,
but can be made into other things , some prefer these although it is old technology .
