Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend a good that you might be using?  Nothing to be found locally, perhaps there's a link to something out there?  I found this, and it looks like it might be alright:

Thanks!

Bought it direct - $42 free shipping!  Even cheaper than the Amazon price... :-\

This one kept coming up, so it seems to be a pretty ok one.

Thanks,
Sig

Link, please?
Thanks!
Best,

I bought it,  and actually found it very un-useable, not bright enough- and always in the way....after a few days, they locking mechanism started to give out...I took mine back to FRYs...sorry guys, I give it a bad review...

Maybe 20 years ago, I bought a knock-off of the rather expensive Luxo illuminated magnifier from Office Depot.  It has a round Circline fluorescent bulb surrounding the lens, and tensioning springs so it will stay parked in one position.  Over time, some of the mechanical components have given up, but I keep finding ways to keep it in service.  I bought a second clamp for my toolbox so I can take the unit with me on installation projects.

It appears that Office Depot no longer sells that model.

Here are the originals:

The attached pic shows my knock-off in use during an on-site wiring gig.

I can't live without my movable desk light. I got one at ikea for really cheap ($12) and so far so good...only about a year into though!

I use a halogen m16 lamp'd / arm'd thing. Screws down nicely with drywall screws. I'm looking for some magnifying glasses / goggles to go with it. It's very bright with some focus which is nice. I'd share a photo but my bench is a mess.

Cheers,
jb
