Yamaha O2r96

Hey guys!

Have an O2r96 here with v1.200 software on it...does anyone know if it's still possible to install the latest OS on it?  If so, where would one get it?  All the Yamaha links to it appear to be dead...

Any help much appreciated.

Hi. Maybe you know that... You can't upgrade from firmware 1 versions to 2 versions without purchasing the upgrade. Im not sure if its exactly like the DM2000... on dm2000 they need to upgrade with an internet conection that conects with yamaha servers and manage the license. On dm2000 the upgrade comes with an memory card with bootloader upgrade needed too. Well de 02R96 needs the upgrade kit for sure. They say on the link from pucho

Once I saw a yamaha DM2000 where someone tryed to upgrade firmware from a v1 to an v2 and  it was stucked. Yamaha SAT can only offer changing the CPU for a new VCM version one (the actual one) to solve the blocked DM2000...

Hmmmm so what’s the chance Yamaha still offers these upgrades?

And, from v1.200 to the latest, is there that much that would be lusted after if one was augmenting the console with a DAW?

there seems to be a guy in Slovenia on the facebook page that does the DCM2000.
waiting to find out if he does the 02r96 and how much
