Well before pursuing Marik's kind offer I would love to hear back from Dan and Latch Lake. If they are not interested I wouldn't mind pursuing Marik's suggestion.

Dan, any luck in hearing back from LL?

correct useme2305, however i have the 7 pin version, but I doubt that matters on the mount. http://www.binder-usa.com/products/partsdetail/88564

Thanks for the link. As soon as people decide what they'd like to do we will purchase the connector and make a prototype.

Best, M

Looks nice, but quite a bit more costly than what we have been talking here.

Thread is here:  I think it is 7 conductor for the U47 http://groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=35667.msg651831;topicseen#msg651831 there is a photo there.
The connectors are Binder 691 series I think.

What I am trying to find is a mount that will work with the Riggler's and Tskguy's M49 / M50 bodies http://groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=52563.0 which I think have a body tube diameter of 71mm.  I don't know where the bottom of the mic is documented so I don't know exactly what connector is used there yet although I was under the impression that it was the one described earlier in this post.  I don't know if the binder connector when mounted will offer a sturdy thread to mount to or whether what is needed is a clamping ring that can accomodate 71mm.  Anyone?

The top link that you posted is for the psu mounting side. I've just purchased this for my Collective Cases binder case. The tskguy's bodies also use the 691 series binder, as does the equinox bodies.  The 71 mm would be for a shock mount that would clamp on the body, as opposed to a binder mount I believe.
So...I think we are all on the same page here with needing a 691 series binder mount, am I correct?

I think so, but I just don't know enough.  I will have to wait till I get the Mic Body, or someone more knowledgable (tskguy?) needs to weigh in.

Jeff from Latch Lake said he wanted to supply them for us.  He went on vacation right after NAMM and said he would get back to me about them after that.  I am hoping to hear from him this week.  Let me know what you guys want to do.

How about hitting him up about it again and telling him we have an alternative if he's too busy or can't do it right now? It would be nice to move forward as it's been awhile since the show. Just my $.02.

Thx,

Mike

Yeah, if he is too busy, I'd cast a vote for moving forward with the alternative also. Whatever works, is good quality, and doesn't cost a fortune. I'm sure it's going to take a while to manufacture these either way as well.

I wonder too...I hate to bug Dan...I don't really know him but I do know he's busy. Hopefully he will chime in here with his thoughts so we can either release LL and go with Marik, or get the LL ones done.
