spl uses two 2181 vca's in each channel of the dynamaxx compressor.

the vca's are not in parallel,
one processes the + , the other one the - phase...

does this really benefits from the "advantages" ref. to page 11 of the usersmanual...??

I'd say they are somehow in parallel. It's a "fully balanced" topology--probably to reduce even order distortion.

I thought of that a long time ago..

Easy to implement in the GSSL. Just make your signal path a VCA+op-amp, go in at the resistor. Duplicate for each channel. CV might need to be buffered twice for good operation.
