Hello,

We have an Echocord Mini at the studio and I need to solder a cable to adapt the DIN 5 pin output to a jack (TRS), but I'm not sure about which pins I'm supposed to solder...

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply!

But it doesn't really tell me what signals are present on the pins of the DIN output on the echocord...

I've soldered a cable as following;
pin 1 of DIN to tip of the TRS jack
pin 2 of DIN to ring and sleeve of the TRS jack
but the signal is very distorted.

Could the output be symmetrical, where the ring would be soldered to another pin...? If so, which pin could it be?

Have a look here:

Since you were too lazy to do a simple search for 'echocord' here I was also too lazy to check if that thread indeed contains the info you're looking for :wink: :thumb: , but very likely it'll be there. There are links to various schematics that could give you the info.

All in jest, happy cable-soldering.

Bye,

Peter
