Was thinking about some rotary switches for caps in EQ circuits, like the Pultec lows, and am thinking of a type I have in multiple vintage pieces that has a continuous strip as pole piece, so that multiple positions can be paralleled or de-paralleled with rotation.  So you can then select the # of parallel caps, rather than use a discrete full value cap at every position.  Some versions of these have continuous strips, some have contact points that can be jumpered to allow multiple contact.  I am brain dead after a long studio tracking day, and can't come up with a descriptive, or find a modern source (for lack of a descriptive).  Anyone know?   Here's a pic of one which allows paralleling of one to six contacts through a single pole.

Cumulative shorting switches sounds right, maybe.

Anyone know of an available modern version, or a standard shorting type that can be ganged up in this manner?
