Hi all,

Can anyone id these cards for me? The first is an MCI PCA0600-4052 with two 5534s and a small rectangular Neutrik 1:4 transformer labelled 'NTM 4'. The other is an MCI PCA0600-4032, three 5534s, no transformer and an LM394H in a round metal can. They're both 2" x 5", have pins that look like they plug into a larger board. Anyone know what they are?

Thanks,

I bet those cards are for th 600 series MCI console "MCI PCA0600-4032" 600 being the model number....

That would be my guess too. Here are specs to the to the NTM4

So the one with the transformer is probably a mic pre, the others line amps? Or transformerless mic amps? Did they make modules with transformerless mic pres in the JH600 series?

Thanks guys. I love a good mystery.

I was just poking around John Hardy's web site and saw this picture: http://www.imjohn.com/JohnHardy/MPC600Details.htm
It's his replacement for the stock JH600 mic pre. All of the connectors are in exactly the same place as what I have, so that must be it. They're transformerless mic pres. Hmmm....

Uhh... still sitting on the waiting to be gotten to pile. My world is really getting silly, although it's nice to be busy. Experience teaches that no matter how busy I get, it will eventually slow down. Then I'll get to them. :green:
