I’ve seen pictures of that room and fell in love with it.  That tape machine is new to me. What a labor of love .  Very impressive.

I don't think so, there is a picture of a machined alu frame in a CNC room...
For what I can tell it's a build/design from scratch  :eek:
Now for sure if you build a tape machine in 2020, you have access to most tape deck document legacy to get inspired from

I found it. You are right, it is nothing like the Studer machined die casting. It's just a machined thick aluminium plate. I am not sure that will have the necessary rigidity.
