After 56 years on the local l.a. scene
All electronics is closing its doors.
Luckily they have an online store where you can purchase if you are not local to l.a.
For me they were always the place I could pop in for the last minute parts like a cap or some other thing.
If anyone wants, their link is below, they may have some inexpensive close out pricing on random things.

Bummer. I ordered a few things from them. I miss all the surplus places in the SF bay area...Haltek, HSC, Quinntronics, Alltronics, ACE, Weird Stuff Warehouse. Many a nerdy Saturday was spent accumulating cool parts back in the 90s and aughts at these places. I think the only ones left are Anchor, Excess Solutions, and Jameco. Social media SW doesn't make much surplus, so the valley is drying up.

The only components store in Reno closed years ago. I subsequently had to order stuff online, and now don't do electronics projects any more. Part of the enjoyment was going into a store (especially surplus) and browsing and dreaming. Of course I have a shitload of now mostly obsolete parts that will never serve a useful function.

Huge bummer. I spent much time in the old Vermont Ave store and was bummed when it closed. Now this one also. What's left in LA? Electronic City is gone. Is Amatron still around? How about Pac Rad?

Our local stores in the are have all closed down, the last one (half an hour drive away) last year.

On the bright side, I did order order from Mouser on wednesday and got my package less than 40 hours later today, all the way from the US including going through customs.

Yeah all those places are completely gone here too in Sac. Sucks!
I lived in Sac in the 70's. There was a great store in the northeast part of the city, on Del Paso Blvd I think. Then moved to Orange CA - lots of stores in that area. I used to dumpster dive at them. Moved to Phoenix - I asked at one of the big box stores if I could go through their dumpsters, and they said they were locked up, because employees would throw merchandise in the trash and then go retrieve it from the dumpsters after work.

It's the same everywhere. Well, except Shenzen, of course. And Tokyo.

Antwerp used to have an electronics street. About a dozen shops selling parts. One shop with blank media, a few Hifi shops... Only one high-end hifi shop remains and they don't even have a showroom.

My nearby shop isn't gone but they changed from selling electronic parts to selling electric bicycles. Business-wise the right decision, as they're doing very well. I've bought most of their interesting parts years ago when they liquidated stocks.

That’s awful. I order from them all the time. I get all my test clip leads from them. I haven’t found better prices. They have great prices of fuses and other consumables. I better order a bunch while I can.

Never knew the store on Vermont, was before my time.
Pac rad is still here although it’s been through different phases and stages. Currently in burbank, good for wire and connectors.
Armetron has moved out of Hollywood. I never knew they owned the building. They were made an offer that was too good to pass. Their new location is in north Hollywood. Can still get parts but a lot of nte. Nte single package caps are expensive.

We still have apex as well. But it’s hit and miss.

I vaguely recall hearing about major electronic/radio surplus shopping in NYC IIRC canal street.

I didn't make many unescorted trips into NYC until decades later.

Long gone. My father used to take me to Canal St. in the 1970’s when we were visiting. When I got here in 1985 it was largely gone.

My dad (RIP) took me into NYC one Saturday morning in the 50s to visit his workplace (RCA's NYC recording studio). I was too young to appreciate the experience but remember the full size Nipper statue in the foyer.
