The mixer is a KX-something or other. I believe it's a five-input job, with sockets for five mic transformers. It's in storage right now, so I can't say for sure.

Hmmm, looks like the Ampex AX 300 is a 4 tracker.

Might make a cool little low tech studio recorder.

Yeah. the Peerless is coming apart tonight.
I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on this one.
Pretty rare and expensive. I am glad one of the windings is open, otherwise I would not have wanted to hack it.
I hope it's got the discontinued 12L lams in it. If so, I am going to rewind the core into a S-217-D Pultec output.
It's got the same 3 can package as the 217.

Looks like that Ampex is not the greatest thing in the world according to the web. Problematic and not up to snuff with the earlier stuff. Maybe I will make it into an echo machine. It's got six heads, so maybe I can wire it for different delay times. Also has three speeds...

The really old one almost looks like a prototype. I was gonna gut it for parts, but I better research it first.

You probably know it, but the K241D is Pultec MB1 input transformer.

Not the flatest x-former I have seen in open circuit. Steady rise starting at 1 khz.
