I wouldn't have tried it if the guy who suggested it wasn't a very clued up designer himself. Seems to work a charm. Way beyond my ultra-basic understanding of the mic's workings..... ;D

Yes Insomniaclown! That was the most hard thing to do....

First i had long consideration about it....

It has three part, with three layer of mesh solder together and then put it together solder on tube with Hysol (loctite),but for fixing

of this three layer mesh i used hairstyle pincers and mom's clothes-peg....first inside left, than right side, and on finish on the top....there wasn't place for mistake....

After that i was happiest man on world....

Dude, you did a great job. I have a single layer on the mic I just finished, but my iron is not up to task. I basically just ended up pushing the grill in, and let friction do it's work.

Anyway, very nice. I have been intrigued by the G7 for awhile. Might have to give it a go one of these days.

One layer can be problem with hum, people here recommend two layer at least.....
My friend Duka had this problem, cause he had just one layer, after assembling another he solve the problem with hum....
If you dont have hum issue you made it man....
