Hi!

I finally have my API 6B lunchbox filled up.

One thing is evident: out of my 4 CAPI modules (2x VP28 and 2x FC526) and my 2 Hairball pres, none of them actually sits correctly in the slots. Basically, they're all a little too short and barely making the connection to the EDACs.

Once the card is in, it'll work but I've had a hard time seating them correctly. And since I tend to carry my lunchbox around, this is a disaster waiting to happen.

I've searched on here and gearslutz and only found partial answers. It seems API admitted to making  few of their units too deep. The solution was to send it back to them for the fix.

I wonder if I could do it myself... I bought mine on GS and I have no receipt.

Anyone had the same issues and fixed it themselves? I think it's a matter of 1/8 of an inch.

Cheers!

Receipt or no, if it says API on the front they will likely fix it if it is their fault.  1/8" is a big error for something this size.  It is not likely that you can DIY something easily.
