I may be thick, but isn't that essentially what every wireless home or small business computer network is? Peer to peer until you get to the peer with a modem attached.

It looks like they shit canned the first 21 claims of the patent, maybe the examiner didn't see the second page of claims.

I'd like to patent the business method for getting bogus patents issued.

A patent is just a license to sue, so garbage patents are worth little more than they're printed on, unless backed by somebody with deep pockets and bad intentions.
