Based on the fabio 312 and using cinemag CM75101APC

For you who plan to use Cinemag CM75101APC as input transformer,
I just got an email from David Geren and he told that we dont need to worry about RC and CC (the RC network on the secondary) if using this model. There's no need for them.

Just use RL = 150K and be happy!

In other words Use 150K for R4 and use a jumper for C5
on the higginsrob 312 PCB

Also C6 and C7 are not needed

All Based on this schmo

Can anyone think of any other mods for this PCB?

i used rl=150k,but didn`t jumpered c5.
sounds fine, but now you got me wondering.
best regards

You need to jumper C5; otherwise, there won't be a load on your input tranny... R4 with no C5 (and no jumper) will just be dangling off in space... ie open circuit.

Here's another chunk of info relating to using CM-75101APC with HiggensRob PCB - also moved from a Blk Mkt post to theLab
(This is from an e-mail from David Geren of Cinemag:)

Thanks for your interest in these transformers.
Actually, the CMMI-8PCA is the closest to the
original. ($48.78) The CM-75101APC ($42.59) is the
one of choice for the pro's upgrading their 312 cards.
The turns ratio is different. The CMMI-8PCA is 1:8,
while the CM-75101APC is 1:10. However, the
CM-75101APC can be strapped for either 150 or 600 Ohms
on the primary. Both will drop into the same pc
holes. If you want to dedicate the CM-75101APC to 150
Ohms, just jumper pins 1&2 and 3&4

maybe i didn`t make it clear:
in fabio`s 312 i used rl=150k,and nothing else.
think i saw some pictures here with only rl,just like mine.
btw, sounds as good as my 3124+,but much cheper.
best regards
pedro
