I think your proof unequivocally substantiates your claim to have this microphone capsule named after you!

As the self-appointed spokesperson for the Society for the Naming of Unnamed Inexpensive Chinese Capsules (SNUICC), I hereby declare the official name for this type of capsule to be

MM22.

This is done in agreement with other competitors for this name and the competing International Association of Microphone Capsule Naming (IAMCN), represented here by their director Mr. @pmfalcman

Congratulations!

Oh My Goodness !!! (Blushing)

I am excited to be recognized for such an honor. I want to thank the International Association, the Judges, its Board of Directors, its support staff (that surely does ALL the work,) ... AND, my Mom, my Grandmother, my Great Grandmother, my young bride, my first ham radio mentor, the kid down the block ... and ... and ... all of my loyal fans (all 2 of them) ... and ...

Bozoink !! 🧨⚠️🔇

[Not sure, but it appears my microphone was cut off mid-way
through my acceptance speech.] 😢

BUT SERIOUSLY FOLKS: MY example of this 22mm capsule came with the two-piece saddle Mr. @kbrown describes ... BUT, the saddle mounting ring is 26mm ID. One must fashion some sort of buffer ring from coax seal, EVA foam, gobs of hot glue, or other substance to mount the capsule. Go figure, eh? I suspect the vendor tossed whatever size he had on hand in the package just to have one in the box.

Happy trails to all. James

Wow, that's odd; the four I bought fit the capsule perfectly.

In the view of circumstances and events - past, present (and most probably future) with greatest joy I stamp this Great Stamp of Approval for the naming of the Unknown Chinese Capsule after its Discoverer and Bringer to this Forum - Mr. James "Happy trails" MicMaven.

🈴 < ---- Great Stamp of Approval

Let there be known to generations present, future (and less probably - past) that this capsule is to be called

MM22
