The sun is going out in 5 billion years. Life will cease on earth long before then. Let's say in 4 billion years to be optimistic. At this juncture ecological protocols will be a moot point.
So the question us, how close to that 4 billion year extinction date do we wish to get?

Of course the western lifetsyle , which itself is on the verge of collapse isnt putting undue pressure on the environment and eco system ?

As I said before a person from Bangladesh has a carbon foot print around 400 times less than a person from California over the course of their life ,
Even if we do manage to reduce our personal consumption by lets say 50% in the west , its absoluelty useless if the other 7 billion are following our lead into the consumerist society .

Look at the effects of microplastic particals ,
they have now found these molecules in the bodies of new born children , its unlikely to have passed via the placenta , so it must have found another route in .
For a number of years the cosmetics industry thought it was a good idea to include microplastic particals in soaps, shower gels, shampoos and conditioners ,that had to be put a stop too ,
But so called professional haircare products are still allowed use these substances .
Were fucking up the planet at an exponential rate , but many refuse to see it .
