A new data point in the newspaper that the number of people changing jobs, presumably for higher wages, has ticked up. This should create higher upward wage pressure and reflects greater confidence in the economy for the future.

Yes many jobs go out the window when this concept is perfected. JR has been talking about AI automated burger fast food for years.
Indeed .. the problem is our expectation of what minimum wage jobs should be has changed.
When I was a kid working for $1.25/hour I was not the head of a household trying to support a wife and family. Entry level minimum wage jobs are for kids, to learn how to work by doing it... not a career.
