As far as I understand it, this board does not provide a mic pre like the EZ1290 does. The idea is that sometime in the future, the author of EZ1290 will make an add-on board to this 1084EQ board that will add a micpre to it. This combination would allow for line level input and mic level input, both with neve eq.
That said, i've summed the cost of transformers and inductors from AML and 8 channels of this plus micpre would cost 1,500 wow, what a project.
