has anyone ever tried using model paint and stencils? would it look cheap, or cool (in a DIY kind of way)? would it chip off or stay on there nicely if the steel was sanded before-hand? any thoughts?

cool. yeah, i tried with stencils (hand-cut) and enamel spray paint. i'm actually really happy with how it turned out. it looks very different from anything else.
