I just joined the board, so I thought I'd introduce myself - my name's Patrick, I'm a musician/gear fiend/DIY nut from Down Under (we have to make sure we wrap our twisted-pair wiring anti-clockwise for better hum cancellation

I've been into electronics as a hobby for years and started on the music side of things a few years ago with some guitar pedals. Then graduated to a tube guitar amp - designed from scratch with the help of Merlin's book and the good folks over at DIY Stompboxes. I confess to being a gear addict, and using the DIY stuff to justify the addiction because it's good to have a hobby
