no problem mate, when I'm back in LA i'll take a look, i forgot but think i posted about it in the elam build thread.

Hi JessJackson,

I know it's been a while since you wrote this. But in case you know in the meantime which 3.2 wet tantalum cap that is that you used in your C12, I would be very interested.  ;)

Thanks,
Waldemar

Although it say 3.2uf on the schematic I've usually found sprague 3.3uf or 1uf  in akg C28s - which is an almost identical circuit but with miniature components

Here's some

Although tbh ive always preferred the sound of metalised film if you can find one small enough - the haufe doesn't pass a lot of bass anyhow, but they're is something magical sounding about the low end on a c12, I often wondered if the shift to the haufe was to contain the low end a little, sub sonic frequencies were considered a large problem with the large diaphragm mics back in the 50s. A c12 with a Siemens 1UF PIO cap through the haufe just sounds wonderful.

I know it’s an old thread, but I just found it while looking for the T14-1 wiring diagram and wanted to share my Telefunken HAUFE T 14/1 HA 03/22 numbers. Cheap PeakTech multimeter, but anyway:

Green-Red: 33.3Ω
Green-Red: 32.8Ω
Red-Red: 64.3Ω
Blue-Blue: 3.03kΩ
