Headphone amp with multiple outs idea

Hi guys!
I heared about this idea, but I have some doubts about how they works. Some studios have this kind of equipment (at least here in Buenos Aires)
The idea is to build an amplifier not really fancy, but arround de 50 W. and put in series a resistor (low in ohms but hughe in W) with some headphone outputs.
I thinking in build an amp with some TDA i have. But i'm not sure about the value of the resistor.
what do you say guys? I missing something?

[I missing something?] -- YEAH!!!.....LOTS!!! What you are proposing is basically an extremely inefficient and completely wasteful manner of driving several headphones from a single source. So.....this is how headphone distribution systems are designed and used there in Buenos Aires??? SHEESH!!!
