The real problem...was flux contamination and consequent...
This kind of thing is why I am so fearful of no-lead solder. I have seen first hand the kind of craziness that flux can reek on audio board assemblies and I can only imagine that this new stuff is going to cause me a lot of lost sleep from the day job. (I don't normally sleep at work...that's not what I saying :thumb:)

Thanks for the info, i heard that special laquer provided a great sound and i've found some really nice looking and sounding knobs. I just ordered 4 to fit to the JLM 99's. I emailed the guy and he said they should work great with the JLM's, and guess what they were in stock and only 40 dollars shipping to the uk! I'm surprised you guys haven't used these on your gear. I'm hoping they will be here by next week. What do you think, smart eh!

wow, I almost fell out of my chair! I think I need to open an audiophile shop.... I can see it now, new and improved Protools, less jitter....

aaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha, that is possibly one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read.

If that we're the case, you could just remove all the knobs and any unit would then be silent......provided it gets a nice coat of c37 that is.

Dear Mr Kubi,

After hooking up various of your tried and tested upgrades for the best audio available, we immediatly heard (in several blindtest with a goldeneared jury existing of real industry PRO's!) a big difference.

The electrons were more in the same direction flowing and the various trafficjams, often occuring in our cabling were totaly avoided. Also the listeningfatigue, so often experienced when doing long listeningsessions, was totaly absent.

We need an urgent matched electrons refill, as my washingmachine really cleaned my clothes better as ever, after applying these!

A happy customer,

PS you may use these testimonial in your future publications, as your products REALLY work!
Tunnel diode?
Ah you beat me...so what happened to the Tunnel/Esaki diode?

When I was at school (in the 80's) I used to read all those cool old 60's electronics books where the tunnel diode was the saviour of the human race....and then I'd ask my EE teacher and he'd look at me with that look of "don't ask questions like that" as if it was some kind of unspoken agreement that it had never existed...

negative resistance" being involved in getting the external crystal to go. .
Every oscillator you can compute via two connected twoports.
One is passive, it is LC, or crystal or everything which is only dissipative
and cannot oscillate alone.
Second is active. Formally it is negative resistance, but it can be everything, what have two ports (one terminal) and you see negative
resistance there.
It can be circuit with tube, operational amp, transistor(s) and many
feedback elements (widely used capacitors for that, but maybe transformer)
That tunel diodes are not used widely, because of their temporal
instability due aging.

Mister Kubi,

Your "Ultra high grade mains cables" are the best cables money can buy.
The listening session was almost like a religious experience. I don't need drugs anymore. I'm convinced. And at that price it is almost like you would give it for free. You can quote me on your page.

A happy customer
