Not much progress these last two weeks. Mixing duties and lack of funding has slowed things down. I had the opportunity today to fit the body tube. I couldn't get brass tubing in 2-7/16" size to fit the headgrille so I had to turn down a thicker piece to that dimension. That entailed making a special adaptor fitting for the lathe. Attached is the result. I need to get transformers and figure out how to mount them and the EF800 tubes before I cut the body tube to length. Small victory but progress none the less.

I finally have the BV8R trannies and some actual time to work on this project. Now to lay out the mechanics of it and cut the body tube and frame rails!

It comes to me that I should mount the transformers back to back to save space but 90 degrees from each other (One bobbin vertical, one horizontal) to minimize crosstalk. Any opinions?

Back to work on this mic now that I have clients again.
