I'm going to put some KY jelly on the threshold knob of my GSSL, to see if it gives it a smoother sound. Maybe I should put it on the input jack. I smoother entry always equals better performance, right??

This reminds of the Diary of Mixerman`s Placebo tricks of the unwanted visitor in the control room (AKA womb) of a big budget session... stratigically placing board tape by the unpatched Pultec knobs with silly things written with a sharpy like soar, punch, warmth, gurth etc... I guess some people can be dupped by turning a big fancy knob that has no effect what so ever to the actual sound... only the mind !?
